Dave Flitman, Chief Executive Officer

Dave Flitman joined US Foods as Chief Executive Officer and a member of the US Foods Board of Directors on Jan. 5, 2023.

Dave brings a wealth of global business leadership, executive management skills and extensive commercial distribution experience, along with significant expertise in operational excellence, supply chain, and general management with more than 35 years of experience in manufacturing and distribution across multiple industries, including food distribution. 

He has a proven track record of driving operational excellence, profitable growth, shareholder returns and a people-centric, high-performing culture.

Since April 2021, Dave served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Builders FirstSource, the largest U.S. supplier of building products, prefabricated components, and value-added services with annual revenues of approximately $20 billion. He also served as President and Chief Executive Officer at BMC Stock Holdings prior to the merger of the two companies.

From 2015 to 2018, Dave was President and Chief Executive Officer of Performance Foodservice, the largest segment of Performance Food Group, a U.S. foodservice distribution company.

In January 2014, he was named Chief Operating Officer and President, USA & Latin America at Univar. Starting in late 2012, Dave was Senior Executive Vice President at Nalco until it was acquired by Ecolab where he served as Executive Vice President and President, Water and Process Services. He joined Allegheny Power in February 2005, serving as Vice President Distribution and later as President of Allegheny Energy through July 2008.

Dave began his career at DuPont where he spent 20 years in various operational, commercial and global business leadership positions.

In addition to his previous experience as a director of Builders FirstSource and BMC Stock Holdings, Dave also has been a director since 2017 at Veritiv Corporation, a leading packaging distribution company, where he is currently a member of the Audit and Finance Committee and chair of the Compensation and Leadership Development Committee

He earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Purdue University.

With a son, Josh, serving as a U.S. Army CAV Scout, Dave is passionate about serving members and veterans of the U.S. military forces and other charitable causes.

Andrew Iacobucci, Chief Transition Officer

Andrew Iacobucci is Chief Transition Officer for US Foods, advising and supporting Dave Flitman, Chief Executive Officer, as he onboards to US Foods.

Andrew served as Interim Chief Executive Officer of US Foods from May 2022 – January 2023. Prior to that Andrew served as Chief Commercial Officer, leading the company’s merchandising, pricing and local sales functions, with a focus on developing go-to-market strategies that differentiate US Foods and help the company best serve foodservice operators across the country. Andrew previously served as Chief Merchandising Officer. He joined US Foods in 2017.

Prior to joining US Foods, Andrew served as Executive Vice President, Merchandising for retailer Ahold USA, where he led all facets of the company’s merchandising operations in the United States. Prior to joining Ahold, he spent 10 years at Loblaw Companies Limited, a leading Canadian food retailer, where he served in several senior roles including president of the company’s discount supermarket business.

Andrew is a graduate of Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario and University of Toronto Law School.

Dirk Locascio, Chief Financial Officer

Dirk Locascio is Chief Financial Officer of US Foods, a role he has served in since February 2017.

Since joining the company in 2009, Dirk has served in a variety of finance and accounting leadership roles including Senior Vice President, Financial Accounting and Analysis, where he had oversight of the company’s corporate finance and accounting functions. Prior to joining US Foods, he held senior finance roles with United Airlines and in public accounting with Arthur Andersen LLP.

Dirk is a graduate of the University of Illinois and is a Certified Public Accountant. He previously served on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the Northern Illinois Food Bank.

Guy Babbitt, Senior Vice President, Shared Business Services

Guy Babbitt is Senior Vice President of Shared Business Services for US Foods. In this role, he is responsible for leading teams focused on managing and optimizing key business processes for the company.

Guy joined US Foods in 2019 from Food Services of America (FSA), where he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer. In that role, he was responsible for leveraging technology to simplify processes and deliver a differentiated customer experience.

Since beginning his foodservice career more than 25 years ago as a warehouse selector, Guy has served in a variety of leadership roles, including operations, sales, IT, strategy and finance.

Steve Guberman, Executive Vice President, Nationally Managed Business

Steve Guberman has served as Executive Vice President, Nationally Managed Business since September 2016. In this role, he has P&L responsibility for the company’s largest customers, including health care and hospitality as well as regional and national chains. Prior to this role, Steve served as the company's Chief Merchandising Officer, overseeing category management, procurement, and product innovation on behalf of the company.

Steve began his career in restaurant operations and brings more than 30 years of industry experience to the management team. He joined US Foods in 1991 and has served in a variety of corporate and field leadership roles, including sales, procurement, marketing, category management and eight years as a Division President in Houston, Texas.

Bill Hancock, Executive Vice President and Chief Supply Chain Officer

Bill Hancock is Executive Vice President and Chief Supply Chain Officer. In this role, he is responsible for all warehousing, transportation, and supply chain strategy and operations, as well as safety, labor relations and continuous improvement.

Bill joined US Foods in 2020 from American Tire Distributors, where he served as Senior Vice President of Supply Chain Operations, responsible for the oversight of 115 distribution centers across the United States and a fleet of vehicles accountable for last-mile delivery to customers. Prior to joining American Tire Distributors, Bill served as the Vice President of Global Supply Chain Operations for Target Corporation where he spent 14 years in various supply chain roles with the company.

Bill earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Supply Chain Management and a Master of Business Administration from St. Cloud State University.

Andrew Johnstone, Interim General Counsel

Andrew Johnstone was named Interim General Counsel at US Foods in November 2022. 

He joined US Foods in 2018, serving as the company’s Associate General Counsel Litigation and Employment and has a track record of building high-performing teams and delivering with excellence.

Prior to joining the company, he worked for Sears Holdings Management Corp from 2013 - 2018 as head of litigation and employment and practiced law at Winston & Strawn LLP and Kirkland & Ellis LLP from 1998 - 2013, with a one-year break from 2002 - 2003 clerking for Judge Amy St. Eve during her first year on the bench in the Northern District of Illinois.

Jay Kvasnicka, Executive Vice President, Field Operations

Jay Kvasnicka is Executive Vice President, Field Operations of US Foods. He is responsible for field operations across the country, including all financial (P&L) results. He also leads the company’s cash and carry channel, which includes 80 CHEF’STORE locations. Jay previously served as Executive Vice President, Locally Managed Sales and also served as interim Chief Supply Chain Officer from October 2019 to February 2021.

Jay joined US Foods as a Territory Manager for Alliant Foodservice more than 25 years ago and has held a range of leadership roles with the company including Division President, Region President and Stock Yards President.

Jay received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing Management from Concordia University in St. Paul.

David Rickard, Executive Vice President, Strategy and Revenue Management

Dave Rickard is Executive Vice President, Strategy and Revenue Management for US Foods. He is responsible for corporate strategy, including exploring new businesses opportunities. He also provides financial planning leadership and leads the insights and analytics team. Dave and his team optimize profitability across all segments by providing end-to-end oversight of margin and pricing decisions, partnering with Merchandising and Sales. Dave previously served as Executive Vice President, Revenue Management and Strategy.

Before joining US Foods in 2015, Dave served as Vice President for Uline. Prior to that, he served as Partner and Managing Director for The Boston Consulting Group leading their B2B pricing practice. Over his 17-year tenure at BCG, Dave led many strategy, operations management and sales strategy engagements with Fortune 500 clients.

Dave received a Master of Business Administration from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago, a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Middlebury College and a General Course Degree in Economics from the London School of Economics.

John Tonnison, Executive Vice President, Chief Information & Digital Officer

John Tonnison (“jt”) is Executive Vice President, Chief Information & Digital Officer. In this role, he is responsible for the company’s digital strategy and vision and all information technology functions, including digital commerce, cyber security, business tools and infrastructure.

JT joined US Foods in 2021, previously serving as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Tech Data Corporation, a Fortune 100 global distributor of business and consumer technologies, where he was responsible for the company’s global innovation strategy, information digital capabilities and operations. Before his nearly 20-year tenure with Tech Data, Tonnison was the Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for Technology Solutions Network.

In addition to his corporate work, jt has spent much of his personal time working with several non-profits that forward diversity and inclusion causes, including giving testimony in the Florida legislature.

David Works, Executive Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer

David Works is the Executive Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer of US Foods. He is responsible for guiding all aspects of the Human Resource strategy around organizational development, strategic planning, talent acquisition, employee engagement, leadership development, training and coaching, talent management, employee relations and culture in support of US Foods’ strategy of Great Food. Made Easy. David joined the company in February 2018.

Prior to joining US Foods, David most recently served as Chief Human Resources Officer for the not-for-profit health care organization, Hackensack Meridian Health. Before joining Meridian Health, David led the Human Resource organizations at Windstream and Sears Holdings. He also served as the president of the Enterprise Business Unit at Windstream. David spent the first seven years of his career as an officer in the U.S. Navy’s submarine force. He began his post-Navy career as an engineer at Motorola, followed by time at McKinsey & Company and ghSMART, a firm which specializes in talent assessment and leadership development.

David holds degrees in Finance and Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, as well as a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Connecticut and a Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
